A New Chapter on The Hill: The Gian-Tony’s Legacy Continues
Welcome to Gian-Tony’s Ristorante, a cornerstone of St. Louis’s historic Hill neighborhood. On December 1, 2025, the Catarinicchia family passed the torch to new owners Joe and Dominic Bergfeld. While the faces at the helm have changed, our commitment to authentic Italian hospitality remains as steadfast as the neighborhood we call home.
Deep Roots in the Neighborhood
For the Bergfeld family, this isn’t just a business—it’s a homecoming. Our ties to The Hill span generations:
Honoring the Past, Building the Future
As we transition toward our new identity, Fiore’s on The Hill—named in honor of Joe’s mother’s maiden name—we are dedicated to preserving what you love. We have retained the entire original staff and the legendary recipes of former owner and Executive Chef Tony Catarinicchia. You can still enjoy the soul-warming Southern Italian flavors Tony brought with him from Sicily.
What’s on the Horizon
While we are keeping the flavors you crave, we are excited to introduce some modern touches to enhance your dining experience. Soon, guests will enjoy a brand-new backyard patio and elegant interior upgrades. We will also begin introducing cherished Bergfeld family recipes to the menu, blending our family’s heritage with Tony’s classic Sicilian foundation.

So deliciousPosted on Anne VTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great Food and Service! We had the crabcakes for an appetizer and they were amazing. The cakes were most and the best Ive had around the STL area. I also had the Spedini which was really good.Posted on AspenHaus Estes ParkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were at Gian Tony's New Years eve and could not have had a better experience! From the warm greeting by the new owners to our cocktail at the bar followed by the exceptional wait staff (William) and dinner-- we all agreed without a doubt Gian Tony's is 5 star! Thank you for making our night 5 star as well!!Posted on Cassandra ParkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have come here several times and the food and service are always great. We came tonight for my birthday and our server William was excellent!Posted on Madyson LordTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The service was fantastic, we got sat right away, and the owner and manager even greeted us when we walked in. I had a pasta that I couldn't pronounce (lol), but it didn't really matter because it was amazing. Highly recommend the creme brulee!
